* I liken the EAGLE, (which SOARS “high” above any other creature) as the Holy Spirit. The Eagle can see a mouse in a field from "high above". I see the Spirit of God hovering over us with a GODLY Jealousy and will pluck us from the grip of the enemy. All we need to do is to call upon HIM in the Name of Jesus!
When we ask Jesus Christ to come in to our lives and to be Lord of our lfe, God takes that confession very serious.
In areas of our lives (our souls...being mind, will and emotions), that are not surrendered to God the enemy can and will try to take liberty to begin to control that area. Hence, pride, fear, lying, delusional thinking enter in through the unsurrendered cracks in our hearts.
The more we feed our souls (mind, will, emotions) and our spirits (by prayer and soaking in the presence of God) with the WORD of God and surrender our hurts and fears, the MORE God will TAKE control.
God will (and is longing to) fight the battle for us as long as we stay in "surrender" and humility.
We always need to keep in mind that our flesh (mind, will, emotions) do not get saved...but only our spirits. Our spirits need to be surrendered "TO" God. After we receive the gift of the Spirit...we need to develop that spirit man into the "likeness" of God. That is where the power is....ONLY "IN" HIM. IN HIM is TRUTH and HIS WORD is TRUTH, YES and AMEN....and it WILL NOT COME BACK VOID.
Humility + SURRENDER = OBEDIENCE. It is the ONLY thing releases the power of God. (in our weakness HE becomes THE Strength) HE IS "THE" TRUTH:
Numbers 23:17 "So he went to him and found him standing beside his offering, with the princes of Moab. Balak asked him, "What did the LORD say?"
18 Then he uttered his oracle:
"Arise, Balak, and listen;
hear me, son of Zippor.
19 God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
20 I have received a command to bless;
he has blessed, and I cannot change it.
21 "No misfortune is seen in Jacob,
no misery observed in Israel. [a]
The LORD their God is with them;
the shout of the King is among them.
22 God brought them out of Egypt;
they have the strength of a wild ox.
When we surrender our past, present, future to the Lord, it becomes HIS battle. Even if we are under attack and feel weak or fall but get back up (A righteous man may fall seven times), we will win that battle. We are NOT weak, but we all have weaknesses. We are not weak because HE becomes our strength to continue to carry on as we continue to stay in humility and continue to surrender.
Satan would love nothing more than to hold you accountable to your past and continue to tell you that "you are NOT really forgiven". Then we can easily go in to guilt (a huge form of pride). Listen beloved...Satan is a LIAR. What doesn't line up with the WORD...is a LIE. Amen.

LUKE 20:30-32 a31 And the Lord said,[a] “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
You ask "why" did Jesus "let" Satan "sift" us?
simply? To BREAK, sift, thresh if you will. To allow our flesh to fall into the pits of hell so we can long to have our life in Christ...even if it "kills" us (our flesh must die, so the Spirit of God can LIVE)
The ONLY way to walk in OBEDIENCE is for our flesh to become weaker and weaker. And, when we starve that flesh from what it wants, what it wants to say, what it wants to "prove" to the world....the stronger our spirit will be. HE will begin to LIVE in us.
When we go through the fire and "allow" God to humble and TRUST HIM....the outcome will be more amazing than you could imagine.
Satan can and will use people (yes, even Christians and the ones we love),in our lives to try to destroy what God is trying to do in our lives. But, when we use descernment, we will descern it is not the person who's doing the harm, it is the enemy himself in operation through that person.
This is why humility and "forgiveness" is so HUGE. "Forgive them Father...they know not what they do".
Trust me beloved...if people that hurt us "in spite" or fall into conclusion...and speak against us or gossip, God is the one who is the JUDGE.
Personally? I'd rather be judged by people who hate me or mad at me, than be judged by the LIVING GOD. REMEMBER....HE HAS ALREADY WON. Which makes us winners too, "if" we follow HIM...and follow "HIS" ways.
Always walk in humility and always walk in forgiveness. Remember, forgiveness and LOVE are not feelings...they are decisions.
We live by 2 commandments as Christians. We don't have 10 or 300 or 360...we have 2 COMMANDS from God.
1. LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.
2. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF...FOR I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD.
One command given to us that ends with PROMISE of long and prosperous life...."Honor your Father and Mother". There was NO mention of "only if they were good and perfect as a parent". God commands us to love our parents...no matter what!
Love is where life lives....and LIFE is where LOVE lives.
